Driven by a passion for cardiovascular care, Dr Shah completed rigorous postdoctoral training in esteemed institutions, including Mount Sinai Beth Israel and Montefiore Medical Center in New York. After completing his general cardiology training he went on to complete advanced subspeciality fellowships in  interventional cardiology and advanced heart failure and transplant cardiology, honing his skills and knowledge to provide comprehensive care to patients with complex cardiovascular conditions.

Throughout his career, He has held various academic and clinical appointments at world renowned institution such as New York University School of Medicine, Icahn school of Medicine at Mount Sinai and University of California Irvine, showcasing his dedication to medical education and patient care. He continues to serve as an Associate Clinical Professor at the University of California Irvine, where he contributes to the advancement of cardiovascular medicine. Currently, he practices  at West Coast Cardiovascular, California, bringing his expertise to the forefront of patient care

His contributions to the field have been recognized through various awards and honors, including being invited faculty at the ABIM/ACC Standard Setting Committee for Advanced Heart Failure and Transplant Cardiology. Additionally, he received the NYULMC CTSI grant for research support and was honored with an honorable mention for research by the Academy of Medicine, Richmond, NY.

With his colleagues, he developed and published and taught the advanced techniques of pedal access for peripheral interventions. Dr Shah has been an expert in minimally invasive procedures done through smaller arteries in the arms to avoid complications associated with traditional approach of using vessels in the leg. 

Sooraj Shah – M.D. is a distinguished physician specializing in cardiovascular medicine with a wealth of experience and expertise in advanced heart failure, transplant cardiology and interventional cardiology. His journey in medicine began at Smt.N.H.L.Municipal Medical College, Gujarat University, India, where he obtained his Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree in 2005.
